Social media and marketing manager

DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Social Media and Marketing Manager is responsible for defining and implementing the organization's digital communications strategy with a view to philanthropic development and growth. He/she will be responsible for planning, creating and publishing engaging content on social platforms. Chiots Nordiques wishes to better communicate its impact in the community, the scope of its interventions and mobilize its community of donors. This position may require occasional travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Develop and implement the digital content strategy;
● Write, edit and publish content on the organization's social platforms (outreach, solicitation campaign, field intervention, etc.);
● Participate in the planning and execution of the organization's
promotional strategies;
● Monitor digital trends and best practices in communications and marketing communication and marketing;
● Maintain a consistent publication schedule using social media management tools
● Track key social media performance indicators (engagement, reach, impression, etc.), analyze results and suggest improvements;
● Participate in the development and execution of marketing strategies aimed at growth in donations;
● Write content for the blog;
● Update the website;
● Design and analyze newsletters;
● Coordinate the production of the annual report with general management;
● Film content and create attractive graphic visuals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Subject to the assessment of competencies, any combination of education and experience
experience deemed equivalent and relevant may be considered.
● Bachelor's degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, or other relevant field;
● Have worked in this field for a minimum of 3 years.
PROFILE REQUIRED
● Mastery of content production, website management, social media and e-mail platforms, marketing and automation;
● Mastery of Meta Business Suite for content management and data and data analysis;
● Mastery of Canva for visual creation;
● Excellent writing skills; Excellent command of French;
● Be creative in content design and storytelling: know how to arouse engagement;
● Rigor, critical thinking, organizational skills and autonomy;
● Sense of initiative and versatility;
● Understanding of the reality of NPOs and Aboriginal communities;
● Knowledge of the organization's mission and objectives.
The following will be considered as assets:
● Experience with Mailchimp or similar platform;
● Knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, After Effects or Imovie.

Being part of the team allows you to work with a motivated, multidisciplinary team, who have been working with First Nations for over 12 years. This contract allows you to telework for the most part, and to organize your schedule according to the needs of the organization (flexible schedule). The main role of this person will be to one dog at a time!
Start date: 1st June 2025
Annual contract - part-time: $32,000/year
