An incredibly busy March!

In emotions!

In challenges!

In difficult situations!

But also in resilience, in finding solutions and in incredible moments that confirmed that I belong with extraordinary human beings.

First, a large-scale rescue in Manawan, but above all the cancellation of a clinic that was to have been held in Pikogan. Organizing a clinic requires coordination, planning and commitment. On March 7 (my birthday!)' I was about to choose the team of volunteers when the community called to tell me that they had priority issues to resolve before the summer so that a field intervention could take place.

In order not to lose the mobilization of the volunteers and modulate the whole spring schedule, I contacted five communities who wanted a clinic to be held in 2025. That left just 2 weeks for one community to give me the go-ahead, but also for us to plan everything: accommodation, meals, transport plan, and so on. After a week of waiting for an answer, I'd given up hope! I could see myself cancelling the March clinic and having to redo the calendar of field activities.

But Waswanipi called me! Just a week and a half before the dates chosen to travel to the community. And we did it! To coordinate the arrival of 15 volunteers on its territory to offer local veterinary services.

In a week and a half...a record! Believe that anything is possible! One action at a time.
