🐶Individual descriptions
💜Amipushu – meaning: calm stretch of water
"My name really reflects my personality. My energy level is low to moderate, but it's essential that I walk every day and expend my energy to feel good on my paws. I am the proud mother of two little girls, whom I have taken very good care of.
💜Ahashu – meaning: crow
"I am a go-getter, adventurous, and rather independent young lady. When I'm outside, I like to rearrange the landscaping by digging here and there! I have a high energy level. "
💜Mushuau – meaning: tundra
“Compared to my sister, I'm quite clingy! I really like humans and showing them how much. I'm rather shy and prefer to analyze new things. Loud noises and sudden movements still scare me a little.”
🐕🐈👶Cohabitation
In our foster family, we live with three large dogs and it works out well. I, Amipushu, am not much of a player, but I have played with them a few times. I could live with dogs who respect my energy level. Since I really enjoy attention from my humans, I can sometimes be a little intrusive if they are paying attention to another dog. Ahashu and Mushuau are pretty good at respecting their canine language, as they are not very playful. None of us three have met cats, but we believe that with a proper introduction, it would be possible to live together. We have met children on occasion and it went well. However, I, Amipushu, find these little bipeds too active and would prefer to live in a quiet environment.
🏡Inside
I, Amipushu, am free to roam the house with the other adult dogs. I'm a little mischievous, but I don't do anything serious! We puppies are kept together in a large enclosure when our foster parents can't keep an eye on us and at night. Our favorite times are definitely when we can run around and explore!
When it comes to cleanliness, we do our business outside regularly, but we are still learning. Our mom is clean, but she needs to learn to ask to go outside! We, Ahashu and Mushuau, are currently learning not to jump on people. We are also learning to come when called, but it's not always easy, especially when there are distractions. I, Amipushu, tend to stay close to my human when the bond of trust is well established. I also know “sit, come,” and I listen especially when there is a tasty treat!
🦴We puppies have a strong need to chew in order to exercise our sharp little teeth. Stuffed toys are no match for us! We are greedy and eat quite quickly, so the use of slow-feed bowls is recommended. I, Ahashu, protect my resources from my sister, so we eat separately. I don't like sharing my food and toys with other dogs, and my foster mom thinks that young children or cats coming near my food could also cause me stress, so we will need to continue working with me and manage my environment carefully. As for me, Amipushu, I love to eat and I don't tend to protect my resources, but if given the chance, I will steal food from other dogs, and any food you might leave within my reach! I am learning not to hang around in the kitchen during mealtimes. I sit further away on my cushion and am rewarded with a treat at the end of their meal.
🌳Outdoors
We love going outside to run, play, and explore. I, Amipushu, like to sit on the patio and enjoy the fresh air. I'm very interested in squirrels and love sniffing the grass. We puppies are currently learning to walk on a leash with a harness, but we still have some work to do! Our mom walks pretty well, without pulling. Right now, we go for walks in a very quiet area with few cars. We don't know the city yet and will definitely have to get used to it. I, Amipushu, had the chance to walk around the village and loved the break on the terrace. Loud noises can make me uncomfortable, but I get used to them if you reassure me.
🚗Transportation and handling
We, Ahashu and Mushuau, have only been in a car once in a carrier, so we will have to continue desensitization. Our mom, on the other hand, settles comfortably in the back seat with her safety harness and loves to accompany her humans. Handling is easy with me, Mushuau, while I, Ahashu, prefer to move around! So we have to take it slowly and, of course, with lots of treats! I, Amipushu, love being brushed! As for nail clipping, we have to take it step by step.
🩵We puppies still have a lot to learn, of course. We are looking for committed and patient families who understand the dedication and commitment required to raise young dogs and help us grow into well-adjusted adults! As for me, Amipushu, I am looking for a calm, gentle environment with a family who is around a lot and can take me for walks every day. See you soon!
