🐶General description

"Hello, my name is Nannish. My name means “girl” in Atikamekw. I am a relatively calm and very affectionate dog. On the other hand, I am NOT a house potato and need my daily exercise session. In the house, I'm always close to my humans, begging to be petted. I'm always asking for more!

🐕🐈👶Cohabitation

I currently live with two teenagers and two adults and everything is going well. My host family also has a cat with whom I get on well. Sometimes I want to play with him, but more often than not, I prefer to lie quietly next to my humans. I don't have any canine friends at home at the moment, as I'm afraid of them. I bark a lot in their presence and need to be reassured. However, my reactions diminish greatly as I acclimatize. If my future family has a dog, they'll have to be patient and kind so that I become comfortable.

🏡 Inside

I am free in the house at all times. I don't make any messes or break anything. At night, I like to sleep in the bedroom of one of the family's two teenagers. He likes me a lot and it's mutual! I'm proud to say that I'm perfectly clean around the house. As for the basic commandments, I haven't mastered them, but I'm working on it. I'm currently practicing “sit” and “give the paw” when I receive my meal.

🦴I'm very greedy! I don't have high chewing needs, but I will benefit from a few items, certainly.

🌳Outdoors

I love spending time outside in the yard. I take the opportunity to calmly observe passers-by, and if a dog passes in the street, I let out a loud yelp. I love it when someone throws me a ball, and I even bring it back to be thrown again. As for my recall, it's good. When I go walking in the forest with my humans, they put me on a lanyard that drags along the ground, but I never go far anyway. Leashed walks are fun with me. Sometimes I stop abruptly and have to insist a little before I agree to continue the walk. When we come across dogs, I bark because I'm nervous about meeting unfamiliar dogs. However, I've already improved a lot since my arrival in foster care a few weeks ago.

🚗Transport and handling

In the car, I stay wise on the back seat. Handling is possible, I even benefited from a bath and I did that very well. I let myself be done without any problem.

💚I am looking for a LOVING family, ideally without a dog. I could cohabit with children and cats without problems. Despite not being the most energetic dog, I NEED my daily walks to be fulfilled. Whose luck?"
