🐶General description

"I'm an absolutely cracking young dog who loves his humans! Little ones, big ones, encounters on the street or in the park... I'm the dog for the situation! I have my moments of excitement and playfulness, but I'm also a puppy who likes to be a potato. I'll follow you into any room in the house, even the bathroom! As a puppy, I like to nibble your feet when I walk behind you, and I also nibble to be petted. With toys and positive reinforcement, I'll be able to control myself quickly.

🩺When I first came into the organization, I had the beginnings of demodex, a skin parasite. My muzzle was quite bald, and my chin was starting to be too. Fortunately, the situation was taken care of very quickly, and my hair has already grown back! There's no need to follow up on this.

🐕🐈👶Cohabitation

I currently live in a house with mini-humans, aged between 3 and 13, and I LOVE them. I also love their friends at soccer and in the schoolyard. I don't jump on them and even if I bite a little, I never hurt them. I'm very curious about other dogs and love to play with them if I get the chance. I've seen two cats I was very curious about, but nothing more.

🏡Inside

In the house, I'm free all day. When my humans leave, they close the doors giving access to the bedrooms and bathroom. Usually, I wait quietly at the foot of the door, but I admit I've already broken a pair of shoes since I was bored. I'll have to be sure to secure my space, expend my energy and leave chew toys at my disposal before I'm left alone. You'll understand that I'm still a young dog and need to perfect this learning process. As my foster mom mainly telecommutes, I'm rarely alone for more than 3 hours at a time. At night, I sleep in the master bedroom on the floor and don't try to get on the bed. In the living room, I have my cozy rug and don't go on the couches. I'm 95% housebroken. I'll have to get used to my new home and make sure I don't leave the bathroom accessible if I'm alone, as I like to relieve myself there. I'm currently learning to relieve myself outside, as I generally prefer to go with someone. I'm a great student of commandments! I'll be very happy to learn many tricks with my future masters. At the moment, I excel at “sit, fetch and go”. I'm learning “tapis” and “donne” at the moment. I understand “no”, but I'm sometimes stubborn.

🦴At the moment, I have access to food all day and I don't stuff myself. I'm able to share my kibble without worry. I'm not a great chewer, but it will be important to leave toys and chewing available for me since I tend to chew.

🌳Outdoors

I'm lucky enough to have a fenced yard for my daily errands around the pool. I go fast, fast, fast! Speaking of pools... if I have access to one, there's no doubt I'll be jumping in. In fact, I'm an excellent swimmer. I love having the ball thrown at me again and again! Sometimes I get curious about birds and growl a bit, but otherwise I'm not very vocal. I may dig to hide my bones, but my humans make sure I don't do it in the flower beds. I'm an excellent walker! I'm not afraid of surrounding noises, except perhaps my little human's school bus when it stops at my level. I go for walks without pulling on my leash and I snoop here and there. As I'm still young, I tire pretty quickly. Sometimes I bark when I see dogs, because I really want to meet them.

🚗Transport and handling

I'm an excellent traveler, I like to ride in the car. I sit on the bench or on the ground and take a nap. I'll easily follow you in all your activities! On the beauty front, I love to be brushed, and as I love water, baths are certainly not difficult. In fact, I sneak into the shower when the little humans open the door. I'll let them trim my claws or wash my ears, even if I don't really like it!

All in all, I'm a dynamic, curious and jovial little dog! I have moderate energy and love being with my humans. I'd feel right at home with a family that's present at home with children who'll play with me to teach me tricks and expend my energy."
